This story is more to make the polls look legit. The Dem leadership has always seen this as a throwaway presidency in which they could implement many policies that the public hates, while letting a dementia-ridden Biden take the fall. In other words, these poor poll numbers are planned to some degree will be the pretext to pulling him from the ticket in the coming months.

Polls do not affect the way I vote at all. I vote for the best candidate no matter who is leading in the polls. The polls are a product of the media and I don’t trust the media.

The closer they get to the election without replacing him, the riskier it gets of the Dem voters getting pissed at WHO is replacing him.
