Apparently Colin Kaepernick thinks that is what the flag represented too. He hates the cops so he knelt during the anthem to protest the cops.

So when you see the Japanese flag, is it their military and police force the first thing that comes to your mind?
and no Kap believe's America should practice what it preaches and what it was founded on. We are a country built on "equality for all men" and yet no one would ever deny the fact that for most of this countries history minority's have not been treated as equals---especially black ppl. The flag represents America and what it says it stands for--kneeling to the flag is calling out America on its lie
I would like to add I'm not an avid believer in kap, he had a ton of missteps during this process--the socks were a terrible and disgusting idea.
