West Texas Permian Basin is low humidity but it is also desert. Lots 9f jobs that pay well. McDonalds starts 9 to 10, walmart starts 10. Rent is a bit on the high side in Midland and Odessa. Low unemployment high wages, lots of jobs. It os still south, yeah i know its texas but it really isnt that bad. My canadian wife has adjusted well to McCamey 50 miles south of Odessa in a town of 1800.

that was just to give you an idea of what min wage jobs everywhere else in the country are paying. I am sure you can pull top $ with a masters. My entry level wind tech position pays more than I made as a Sous Chef at one of the best restaurants in Denver before I made life changes.

Hey in this economy a job is a job. I know people with masters degrees working retail.
