"Hate speech is not free speech." This is regarding Milos lectures and their inability to have mean words in the world. Really though, it's just a fledgling justification for last nights riots. How much can they justify before they are forced to look in the mirror?

Milo is spot on about the effort to blur the line between speech and action.
If speech is "violence" and endangers the "safety" of snowflakes, then you can justify using force to prevent it. They need a way to legitimize their own desire to use violence.

No, they're wrong. "Hate speech" is free speech. The people are also free to choose to listen to it, or ignore it. The KKK has the right to rally, but I have the right to ignore them.
I believe the line should only be drawn when the speaker or speakers are advocating violence directly against an individual or a group. At that point, it is inciting violence and could be a criminal charge. I've been seeing a lot of that lately from the left.
People also have a right to express the opposing opinion. When you start burning shite and causing property damage, then that is not free speech or expressing yourself; that is just a damn riot.

BLM is mostly hate speech but you don't see me throwing bricks through windows and blocking up traffic to stop them from speaking
