Given that we are now routinely turning away people from war zones, I'd say that Trump and the gang can hardly sit up on their high horse and call other countries decisions "barbaric".
Unless you are good with the women of children trapped in the Syrian warzone in coming across to the US to safety.

And that isn't correct. To make your analogy even near accurate. Trump would have to be stopping them at the border and refusing their departure to countries other than the US.

Countries make decisions and people die.
Interfering with the decision of one of our closest allies.
