He's not the first to say that the players have too much control. I remember Ken "The Hutch" Hutcherson on Rush years ago talking about it vis a vis the NFL and coaches. He said NBA coaches in reality had little power over their teams and were basically caretakers. The players ran the show.

It’s the entitlement mentality. It permeates the younger generation and has become engrained in AA. No one wants to work for something, they just feel they should have it because they want it.
