And if a terrorist tries to use the Syrian refugee program to get into the US they are found. That's why it takes around two years to go through the program and why there aren't Syrian refugees commiting terrorism in America.

We know this how?
Again, this is exactly what Trump is doing. Issuing a temporary stay so they can review the vetting procedures.
Once that is done, refugees will get into the country, but through tougher vetting procedures.
At the same, building Safe Zones in their own land so they can stay there is a more ideal alternative for every one.

If terrorists are able to go through the Syrian refugee program to get into the US then I'd support a temporary ban in order to fix the screening process. Like Obama did in Iraq.

The lack of terrorist acts by Syrian refugees in the US is a pretty solid indicator that the background checks work. We've been screening and letting refugees in for years.
