Yep. While the plains indians were essentially nomadic cavemen the Aztecs and Incas were fairly advanced.

I'm not a bleeding heart taking up for Natives and certainly don't support those idiots flipping off the presidents on Mt Rushmore, but I grew up in Rapid City and am pretty damn familiar with what that world looks like. The federal government has been an enabling partner in creating the shitshow that is now the Sioux reservations.

100% truth. LBJ did the same when he created the modern day reservations called government/public housing. The inner city projects are as much a government created shithole as those reservations are.

I guarandamntee you the majority of Americans think western civ ruined the great plain tribes who had been doing their thing since the "world was formed". Never knowing that no Euros...no horses and no plains Indians.

I guess it became cool or a fad in the 80's or whenever when every other white person you met claimed: " I am part Cherokee" or "I am part Indian". I never really understood that.
