My Son's Homework..."Shawn King"

So my high schooler brought home the article Shawn King wrote on the Vegas shooter, Stephen Paddock, and his "white priviledge". This is an IB US History class.
He had to highlight areas of the article where he was confused with a ?, important with an *, agreed with a $, and contradicted his beliefs/views with an X. He did a good job and added comments to the side.
He had to write a 2 page summary discussing the article, and he answered as I or any other sensible conservative would to the drivel penned by King.
His teacher is a lefty and his opinions being real close to being Ben Shapiro Jr.'ish will make for an interesting grade I'm sure.
We'll see.

That's not a bad exercise. He should write a note at the end asking if they'll get to review a Milo article next.

It depends on how it's used. If it's used as a model of modern American journalism - short on data, long on emotion - and it's propagandist style, then it seems a useful exercise.

If this teacher is assigning Shawn King as legitimate educational research, they are already mentally ill.

I would ask the teacher to explain why a white man pretending to be black should be used in a classroom for anything other than to explain insanity or at least cultural appropriation.
If I didn't like the answer, I'd see the school board about it. That's insanity and indoctrination.
