Wasn't the Obama goal to fundamentally change America?

It's like the moral majority on steroids. Groupthink involving fake social justice is running rampant in society and threatens speech

I actually do agree with that, but to a large extent I agree with the OP. Of course, everything is subjective, but I've said before. I have a really good life right now and I think the media blows all kinds of shite out of proportion, framing the country in this dark apocalyptic light which is not a reflection of reality for the majority of Americans. I do think the American middle class is getting sold down the river by our politicians and globalism, but at the same time, our "impoverished" are still rich in the context of the rest of the worlds poor.

Everyone here talks about how fake the media is, yet buys right into the narrative that the country is in shambles and we're on the brink of civil war.

We're definitely on the brink, if not past that of civil unrest. People have been trained to express every idiotic thought that pops in their mind and we just can't be civil anymore. It's a world of tiny bubbles

You're not into critical thinking. That's OK. Most people aren't.

Two words - fundamental transformation. That turned into the largest departure of status quo politics in my lifetime. In the past, it didn't matter that much if a Dem or Rep. was president. They both governed as a politician without scaring the shite out of the populace with their governing.

But then came along Obama and he has this country in turmoil because he acted too fast and furious with his governing. To win in governing you do things slowly without upsetting the apple cart. Take abortion and gay shite. I'm totally opposed to both but the way in got "crept" into our everyday lives I have at least come to tolerate it.

Now we got the Obama's reaction in Trump and now the other side is going apeshit over him. Something about "leave well enough alone" comes to mind but the first black president had to buck that trend and now we are where we are.

Id rather not double down on failed policies.

Nothing sucks for you because you and your boyfriend probably dont get out much. The rest of us have to deal with the results of importing millions of morons, rapists, thieves, murderers, gangsters, and terrorists.

We have to deal with the failed welfare state, and social decay that has come with it.

IMO, the most pressing social/political issue of the day is the assault on the freedom of speech.

This alone is cause for concern.

You can also interpret that however you want, whether it's Trump's pissing match with the media, or the out-of-control repercussions everyday people face for absolutely benign things like bringing a watermelon to their place of work.
