You know one person on that stage was the actual President? And he was not measured or calm or poignant

Except this has been a major Democrat talking point, they consider themselves above Trump's fray. Biden even said something along those lines early in the debate last night.

By the end of it though, he was calling Trump a clown and telling him to shut up between getting mixed up on what the actual topic was.

His failure to do this set the tone for the rest of his answer.

I’m not one to think Trump supports white supremacy but he did himself no favors when given the opportunity on a silver platter.

It’s not about whether Trump supports white supremacy. He’s one man.

It’s about whether anyone else does in their local neighborhoods. One hiding in the woods or in a sand trap is insignificant. 50 million need to be dealt with.

As bad as Joe did, Trump did much worse.

Nah, the other way around.

Trump was overbearing at times, but he made a lot of salient points. He just left a lot on the table, because he seemed like he was spoiling for a fight.

In contrast, I can't think of Biden landing any shots. He was rude and insulting instead of effectively responding, he didn't make any relevant points, he tossed around some tired old talking points, and several times he avoided answering clear questions to his detriment.

Trump- brought up Hunter Biden and that was a mess for Biden. Just denied the money (despite it being documented), then denied the drugs, then stated he overcame the drugs. Horrible sequence for him; Trump appeared to badger, but when you read the transcript Joe's waffling big-time and then tosses his other son in to try to distract, which didn't work. He also brought up Trump's kids, but then failed to deliver anything at all.

Supreme Court;
Trump: elections have consequences, I'm the president and we have the Senate, I'm the president for 4 years.
Biden: she threatens women and ACA (?), flat refused to answer the moderator's question about stacking the Court "because that becomes the issue".

Evironment/Wildfires: Trump says California needs better forest management because it's a yearly occurance, Biden says save the Amazon.

Race/Justice: Trump says to hell with sensitivity classes, quickly says "sure I denounce the Proud Boys or whoever you can come up with", calls out Biden on zero police support, calls out Biden for past voting record and comments. Biden= Antifa isn't real.

What's hard for me to understand is why you think having a few "friends" on Facebook who are too consumed by politics is noteworthy enough to share?

It's clearly hard for you. I suppose we could all talk polls again? Would you prefer to discuss ACB? Perhaps we could all get some good AOC memes together and share?

One might argue that someone who runs to a message board to report such a meaningless observation is only a few degrees removed from sharing political memes 'til 1 in the morning.

One might.

is there a link to your liberal friends MELTING and lighting Facebook up with share after share until after 1 in the morning?

No, I'm not going to share her Facebook feed, but I'll link a snip or two:

Not happy

quote:

If you're watching the debate, you're seeing Donal Trump interrupt Joe Biden every 5-10 seconds with protests, mumbling, and general nonsense. That's what his strategy boils down to, because that's all he knows how to do.

The thing is, though, the Republicans watching think that this is a show of strength. They think that Trump's constant interruptions are a sign of masculinity and power because they confuse being a jerk with being a powerful man. They embrace this type of toxic masculinity because they think that being patient and thoughtful is a sign of weakness, and we're all the worse for it.

Kelly mad too

This is dangerous. Having The President day that young people aren’t affected on live tv without anyone correcting him is fricking insane. This is insane. To say that Fauci said that masks to nothing is criminal. This is dangerous.

I thought his message was bad but you have to remember that how Trump projects himself is more important to Trump than what he projects. That’s always been his secret. Assert dominance even at the cost of everything else. It resonates in America more than anyone cares to admit.

There's no way Trump can win, Hillary is leading in all the polls!

You aren't wrong about this. The only thing that kept Trump from "winning" the debate was the gaffe on white supremacy. And those liberal friends are mad because they're deflecting from a pitiful performance by Biden.

I don't see how this will play. He just named the KKK a terrorist organization last week. Everyone has figured out this talking point is a lie.
