As an influx of transplants from failed states move into your neighborhoods, counties, cities, and states, have no fear in speaking with love, teaching them to follow the precepts and honor the truths that made your home what it is that motivated them to move here or where you live.

Ignorance creates continued failure.

Your new neighbors will be grateful to know that they will be in the apprenticeship of such goodness. Be fearless in teaching the truth and do so with kindness. It works.

I once heard someone say that the South wasn't truly defeated in the Civil War,
but that the final blow was the build-out of the interstate highway system.

Thank you do your contribution. And remember that those roads you reference, also lead out.

Teach your new new neighbors the whys and the hows of living great. It's up to you.

Your optimism is noted.

The battle has begun.

So far, the California refugees seem dead set against repeating their past.

That’s all good and I agree but how are we going to teach these illegals that are invading us?

Spoke with a california woman at the dog park the other day here in Nashville. She said the south isn't as nice as she thought it would be. Lady next to me blurts out, "its because you're from California and we don't want your stupid politics here."

Texas needs this even more.

Florida, Georgia, Kentucky in there as well..

Carolinas, Virginia? Maybe too late and too much proximity with EvilCentral for Virginia..

Fight on... and WIN

I thought most of the people leaving California were Republicans leaving the state while their property values were still highly valued.

A perfect example of responding with truth and love to the foreigner whose thoughts are skewed. We must all bear the burden together to educate the immigrants. One shouldn't expect things to be the same as they were when they left their failed states.

I live in one of the most liberal parts of the 3rd largest county in the state (Knox) and at best it's a 55/45 near split between Dems and Pubs. This idea is massively overblown on this website.

To add to that - Most of the people I've spoken with from NY, IL & CA that are fleeing those states to come live in Tennessee are not voting for the same policies that they are fleeing from. It's unfortunate that more people are moving here, but in my experience, the overwhelming people that I've met vote red.

One more point to add on the subject. My family and I moved to TN from Southern CA in the mid 90s and have voted Red since arriving. I also consider myself a Tennessean as opposed to a Californian.

That is so naive. It's the reason this country is where it is. These new residents are never going to change their voting habits and beliefs.
Humans in this earthly life only care about satisfying earthly needs and things.
Look at voting results from Nashville. It's a mini San Francisco or Austin, TX.
I wish you the best of luck.

This is my hope. Blue state refugees are going to fortify Tennessee as a red state. Republican governing are what have made the state a great place to live and raise a family. There has not been a Democrat running anything at the state level since Phil Bredesen in the 1990s (great governor btw, his leadership was pinnacle in making Nashville a major American city). Nashville ain't Atlanta.
