People defending the removal of Confederate statues say a museum is the appropriate place to learn about history. Anyone want to bet museums will be the next front? I can hear the calls to remove offensive and oppressive exhibits and symbols already.

I don't like that the statues are being taken down, but I'm not worked up enough about it to act like a fool.
However, if they try to have Confederate Memorial Hall or Beauvoir closed up, then I will be acting like a fool.

I doubt it, but I have as much to base my opinion on as you do yours.

At what point will the producers get fed up and start defending themselves from the parasites?

No one is going to rock the boat until their interests/livelihood are directly affected. We're far too comfortable to be involved otherwise.

If museums were to be attacked, I think it's still in the relatively distant future.

However, it's not too difficult to anticipate the argument.

"Displaying these symbols of hatred and bigotry in public museums is idolizing and celebrating the fact that they even existed. They've been rightfully relegated to the trash heap of history so let's rightfully put them in the physical trash heap where they belong. As a society, we should be celebrating and remembering the best things of our past, not the worst."

Progressivism has no brakes, no final destination. Utopia never arrives. It's probably a clinical issue for some adherents.

They'll be okay with museums, as long as there are plaques on every artifact describing that person or place as being super duper racist and evil incarnate.

a big part of destroying America is rewriting and dismantling its history along with removing any symbols of pride or remembrance about our history.

the socialist brainwashing going on in our schools for the last 20 years is showing up in force with a whole generation who not only celebrate Americas downfall but want to actively commit acts of terrorism to accomplish it.

until schools are transformed into institutions of learning and no longer about liberal indoctrination and activist training grounds, this country will never be rid of the likes of the BLM and Antifa terrorists

It has already happened to a degree.

The museum at Nash Farm Battlefield south of Atlanta closed because a county commissioner insisted they remove Confederate flags.

Within the last two years the Department of the Interior decided to stop selling Confederate flags at the visitor centers of Civil War battlefields.

The Museum of the Confederacy in Virginia went under new management a couple of years ago and drastically changed the items on display.

I believe that the interpretive signage and other items at Richmond's Treadager Iron Works site have also been changed recently.

If they do go after the public museums, what are the chances of some wealthy entrepreneur types buying the exhibits from some slightly shady or two faced liberal politician (could go either way but I love hypocrisy so we are making an assumption here)in exchange for a little pocket lining action, who was possibly one of the people pushing for the closers to begin with to appease his / her constituents so they can be re-elected and continue living off the government teet? This entrepreneur then opens a private museum that (s)he charges entry for and makes money hand over fist from the half of the country that doesn't want to destroy history and the private schools' field trips (who are not funded by the gov't or trying to limit learning and diversity of thought like the public schools)?

Which (s)he should have a good run with for at least a few decades before someone tries to introduce "hate speach / display in private institutes that are open to the public for viewing" which gets passed by temper tantrums being thrown. (S)he then sells off all the artifacts, for large sums of money, to private people to keep in their homes.

All the money being made and passed around from the entrepreneur and shady politicians, just goes to prove two points:

1) People want to see history even if it goes against their morals, upbringing, or sickens / offends them in some way (see the holocaust exhibit at the Smithsonian for proof). They are even willing to spend their money on it.

2) Politicians typically do not give a rats arse about the wants and needs of the people they represent, nor do they care for what is good for the country first. Their first priority is making money for themselves and setting up their family with a good life regardless of what they preach on taxing the rich or helping people. They will literally sell their soul or twist every action to benefit them and if it helps others what a great side effect, if not, they don't care their house has a gate and security "thanks for paying".

I never understood this line of thinking with something that means so much to a person's everyday life and safety. I can kind of get behind the idea of hoping your football team loses in order to get a better draft pick and be dominant the next few years. But to wish your country fails hard enough to have a change like that, that (whether you believe in it working or not) will take decades to come about, all the while completely destroying everyone's life regardless of beliefs for years until it all settles back down is disgusting and psychotic in my mind.

That is why I believe the true Conservatives will always have a handicap in dealings with the country's path and future. They don't seem to be willing to allow it to go down that path and therefore lose their negotiating strength. They must bend for the greater good in there minds.

As to where the liberals either don't have that care, don't mind seeing it burn out of shortsightedness, or at the very least managed to get all the celebs and media on their side. The celebs and media have a no lose situation, they have no actual responsibility in driving the country. They can make claims and assertions that truly mean nothing all the while have the full ear of the majority of the population, especially the highly influenceable youth. They preach fear and hatred not of actual foreign entities that want to destroy us, but of brother and sister citizens that want what is best for the country's success. Making those same "teammates" the enemy and causing politics to become to personal and not about the wellbeing of the country.

It is like the second string of the Patriots purposely trying to destroy the first string so they can play the game. Not even thinking about how losing will affect them.
