I love how everyone thinks Mueller is some left wing fake news conspiracy. We have conservatives in power at every level of government...and yet the POTUS administration is under investigation... The scope of which includes potential criminal activity among his national security adviser and campaign manager.
Interesting times.

I love this slow drip of information. Just seeing the effect on Trump's mental health makes it more enjoyable. I hope it takes Mueller another 2 years before he has enough info to end Trump's Presidency.

I see you don't bet the horses because the first rule of thumb - think long and you think wrong.

quote:I don't think we should assume that Mueller is attempting to indict the president for anything--certainly not for the non-existent crime of firing an appointee. It's a bit stickier if he's eyeing obstruction. One can do something perfectly legal (such as destroying his own hard drive) and find himself in trouble if it's done to conceal a crime or stymie an investigation, right.
The hiring/firing of executive branch officials, particularly political appointees are 100% the exclusive purview of the President in his capacity as chief executive. These are, by definition, political decisions. They cannot be "illegal." WTF is a prosecutor digging into these issues when they are almost certainly:
A. Privileged
B. None of his fricking business
Now, if the Congress of the United States wants to impeach the President because he fired Comey and Flynn? That's fine. Bring it. That's also a political decision. But there is no crime here. Can't be. Won't be. Impossible.

I hate to quote Comey, but there's no way to prove intent in that case.

Unclear at this point if this signals a shift in the investigation toward the WH.

How many months has the investigation been taking place? If this is the shift to the WH, I'm surprised it took so long given how "clear" it was that Trump and the Russians colluded (the horror even when it isn't illegal).
