Fun fact - the only first hand eyewitness account of Jesus - written in the first person - was Paul. He is the only one who said something to the extent of “I saw the LORD”. Not only that, but when he saw the LORD Jesus, it was after his death and resurrection. There isn’t one single eyewitness statement in the NT saying “I saw Jesus” or similar in the first person.
