CNN is showing one side.
They are showing the feed they have.
Just had a reporter saying that there are out of town elements (Oakland) "doing their own thing"; also saying that the march crossed an "off limits" line at some mall or something. Not to mention the police are full of adrenaline, piss, and vinegar.
Not as biased as y'all are making it out to be. But it is slanted toward the protesters for sure.

Jesse Jackson on CNN now.

They didn't start showing anything until after the gassing started.
I had my TV on CNN and I've been watching the I am Mike Brown feed on my laptop since around 8pm. CNN didn't show the beginning of it.

I haven't watched anything, but if what y'all are describing is accurate, I'm ashamed and embarrassed.
I don't carry collective guilt of the Caucasian, you shouldn't have to carry collective embarrassment of black folks.
It's the sole responsibility of those doing the rioting and the people promoting this with their rhetoric.
I don't feel guilt or shame for this..

There is no way that all of these people are local. I said that earlier.
It started off as very peaceful, then something went down at the McDonalds. Shots were fired, etc.

Apparently it is now racist to stop rioters.
Yay.
Yay.

If the media would just leave town, I bet 90% of this would stop. The prot

Lol at the state thinking a curfew would help.
No, all you can do right now is wait this out and let the energy burn.

We played the game at the bar that I went to. When things got a little sow, one of us would yell the phrases.
I hope no one got hurt.
If last night had been this active.

I get what you're saying Roger, and I don't disagree. But its still saddening.

Not much else they can do. Outside influences have packed and moved into the area. Nation of Islam for one.

Jesse Jackson actually was just on CNN and talking about how this is not the mood that the protesters earlier in the day had...... He wasnt blaming it on the police at all, but the different group of "protesters"

It's sad when JJ notices and the media don't.
Media could help end this by just pointing it out and dropping it.

I think the majority of people feel like you, tbh.
There are reports that a lot of these protestors are from Chicago, Oakland, etc.
It's really crazy. A couple of hours ago it was a peaceful march. shite then escalated very quickly.
I'm torn because I'm very anti police state, yet I feel that something has to be done to protect private property and businesses.
The police are telling the press to stay back because shots were fired. They're behind the police on the livestream feed. They're shooting at the cops. This has gotten so far out of hand.

It is. But it's not the duty of black folks to "speak up" against these people. It's not their burden to bear. Life's cluttered enough without bearing the burden of people we don't even know.

I've been gone all day. I just started watching a couple of hours ago. It went downhill very quickly tonight.
