More frightening news from Rockville High School in Maryland

The girl is beaten within an inch of her life yet the county doesn't think it's pertinent to the school community's interest to inform all parents. I have to wonder what, if any, academic instruction takes place in such a horrific environment.

No where in the article does it mention the races of the victim or assailants. Must have been white on white or black on black.

Have you heard the superintendent of Montgomery County School speak? Have you read any of the emails they send out to parents? Every single decision that school board makes is politically motivated.

I see incidents like this propelling the self-destruction of the public education system in this country. The politicians know damn well why too . . . it's because of this type of thing that whites and asians along with upper-echelon blacks and browns are either going with private school or homeschooling. It will get worse before it gets better, and by better I mean more segregation between those who see education as a privilege and those who see it as a right.

If it's truly as bad as described, then that's pretty troubling. But it could also have been just a typical teenage fight.
