You tell me....... I really dont have a firm grasp on Trump's foreign policy and I dont think anyone, including Trump himself does either. I even started a thread about last week. On one hand he seems to want to play to the America First crowd in his speeches that while not strictly isolationist certainly lean that way. On the other hand he has shown a willing ness to use and certainly threatens to use American military force when necessary.

That’s the positive motivation; that he does it when he thinks it’s necessary. Just as likely, given his patterns, is that he does it if he thinks it’s politically popular. It’s probably a mix of both depending on the specific issue.
