The biggest problem with Communism was that it was implemented and managed by the Russians who don't know how to run an ice cream stand let alone a revolutionary new society.
Communism would have worked splendidly in the United States if you mixed the theories of socialism with good old fashiond Yankee "can do" spirit.
Communism failed simply because it was done in the wrong, corrupt, place.

Nothing brings out that 'can do' spirit like waiting in line for a loaf of bread at the local commune once a week and worshiping the state.
Also lol if you don't think the US is corrupt. It's just a corrupt capitalist nation right now, but would be a corrupt socialist/communist nation if those were implemented.
