What's the labor participation rate looking like? It still stinks, but it is slightly better than it was under Obama.

My exact thought. This is never really discussed. Of course the unemployment rate, regardless of race is down when the LFPR is near historic lows. And of course the LFPR is near historic lows when we bend over backwards and make it easy and comfortable to not be in the labor force. I'd imagine minorities have lower participation rates though. It would be interesting to chart the minority LFPR, white LFPR, and total LFPR since maybe the beginning of the Clinton presidency to today.

Families maintained by black women (that is without a spouse present) comprised 44 percent of Black families.

Worst of the racial groups, almost double hispanics (26%), and nearly triple whites (16%).

Blacks made up 12 percent of the civilian labor force, but 23% marginally attached to the labor force.

Blacks also made up a high proportion of discourages workers (28%) relative to their share of the labor force.

Again, worst of the racial groups, but have a high proportional representation among recipients of federal assistance programs.

You can't realistically contribute 8 years of that work to 6 months of inaction.

Thank you OBAMA for doing the heavy lifing. you wont be forgotten

I've seen paraplegics that lift better than that.
