Milo Yiannopoulos, Progressivism’s Spawn and History’s Pendulum

From 2000-2009 disinvitations and disruptions occurred almost equally from the left and the right (on the right mostly with reference to abortion and Israel), but from 2010 onward protest veered sharply leftward. Today, over 90 per cent of speaker disinvitation attempts and speaker interruptions arise left of the speaker, occurring most frequently around racial, gender, immigration and Islam-related issues.

The highly controversial Yiannopoulos takes cancellations in stride, though, knowing the attendant publicity makes it a win for him either way. Milo’s enormous cultural effect is confirmed by FIRE’s data graph’s startlingly high spike in protest on the left since Milo began his “Dangerous F****t” speaking tour of U.S. campuses last year.

Good quick read that focuses on Milo, but really highlights the intolerance of the Left, even towards their own who don't tow the party line.

It would be nice if even one of these Milo think-pieces would point out that he's a complete and total fraud (his real name is Milo Wagner/Hanrahan; he was dragged before the court a number of times in Britain for failing to pay his staff; he set up a 'charity' which went directly to his bank account and never paid out; he was was fired from his job at a 'trad-catholic' newspaper for not being a Catholic; he only started claiming to be a Jew in the last year; he only started claiming to be homosexual in the last couple of years; and I could go on).

He's a troll in the same way that liberal comedians are trolls. He's a more extravagant John Oliver (who I like though that's not a popular opinion here) without a TV show.
I think the most important part of the article was highlighting the amount of dis-invitations since 2010, and the fact that they come from the left over 90% of the time. So much for a marketplace of ideas.

His name he was born with was Hanrahan and his pen name was Wagner.

Pretty much. He's an entryist of the highest order and is taking full advantage of the new dissident right politics. I doubt his convictions but as long as he can sway some minds, I don't care all that much.

Debatable, actually. Most of the court documents use Wagner.

Nobody gives a shite dude. Milo is a vehicle to fight back against leftist overreach in suppressing free speech and freedom of association and from association and really just to try to get SJWs to take a hard look at themselves and why he exists.
Keep clutching your pearls though.
