On a related note, a study came out recently that said people are becoming desensitized to norms of weight due to what they see every day IRL. IE, a woman who is 5-4, 150 would have been described as fat 50 years ago. Today she is described as normal.
Medical tables would still call her 'overweight' but the perception of the general public has changed.
