If Mueller and his team find concrete evidence of collaboration that is of such a level as to lead to Impeachment, look for the Dems to use that to run roughshod through the mid-terms and possible the next Presidential election as Trump supporters stay home in droves while an over-energized Democrat party surges.

If, on the other hand, Mueller and his team turn up nothing (or, at most only circumstantial evidence that warrants no charges) then expect the Trump base to show up in force on Election Day next year (because you know Trump will -and should- use it).

It's the midterms. Democrats rarely show up for midterms.

Honestly, I just don't see the Dems winning back the House. I just don't see it. The BLM riots and Bruce Jenner wearing a dress on the cover of Vanity Fair will still be too fresh in the mind of white middle America (read, voting America).

That's some damn fine wishful thinking there.

Ehhh, I think it's hard to assume this strategy wouldn't backfire bigly. Who knows, I suppose.

Op wouldn't that be influencing the campaign if Mueller times his prosecution? Is that not the very thing we are trying to eliminate?

DC is totally out of control and Mueller is a living daily example of it

Democrats have no message and no leadership right now.

Certainly will impact it.

But what matters in almost every election is enthusiasm.

It seriously will be another huge meltdown day for MSM as the Dems lose seats in both house and Senate for 2018

I find it amazing that you guys haven't learned the lesson of the Special Elections yet!!

0-6 in special elections and you still think y'all are going to run the mid-terms.

If this existed it would have been widely publicized before Trump ever took the oath of office.

The last time the GOP had the House, Senate and White House the Dems showed up enough to take both the Senate and House.

This. Trump sucks isn't enough. It might be enough to snag the house, but not the senate or presidency. The democrats flopped in 2002/2004 in part b.c Bush sucks wasn't enough. They were successful in 2008, as they had a message! Yes, it was see through, but so what? Slogans got trump elected.

They have to come up with an agenda and a message, and a way to convey that message. They need compelling spokespeople to talk about things other than Russia.

I can't see it at this point either, but if Mueller does indeed find something that is Impeachable I think the Dems mobilize like crazy. They desperately need a win and having a President that can't get legislation passed and gets Impeached would make a big target for their supporters and a big incentive for NeverTrumpers in the GOP to stay home.

I would be flabbergasted if they lose house seats. Just due to history. Party in power almost always lose seats at mid terms.

Dems will have energy and be mobilized. They are organizing right now. And will be very prepared for the ground game in 2018.

I think it comes down to if Rs can match their enthusiasm.

And I think that will depend largely on what happens with this Mueller mess as well as what you mentioned earlier (Dems having an actual message other than "Russians").

I think more important is getting the trump agenda done. If they get tax reform completed, then Rs will come out in force. If they make progress on the wall.

Mueller will definitely impact it. But if the Rs accomplish shite the american people want, then it might not matter that much.
