Islam is a plague on mankind; a false religion bent on subduing the entire physical world to Allah by the sword. It needs to be fought against.

Edited to add clarity.

What exactly is the purpose of the mutilation?

Just updated my response. Biblical Christianity, not one that relies on tradition or non-canonical revelation.

Would love to know how many female genital mutilation cases Obama's DOJ filed during his eight year tenure

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that no "leftist" supports mutilation. But don't let me deter you from your political hackery. You'll fit in nicely with this board.

You need to brush up on your reading comprehension skills.

Many Muslims believe that if a girl's clitoris is removed she will receive no pleasure from sex thus remaining a virgin until marriage and then not straying once married.

In some Muslim groups, mostly in Northern Africa, it is common to have a girl's vagina sewn closed, leaving a small hole for menstrual flow; and surgically re-opening the vagina upon marriage.

Oh and often, these "surgeries" aren't performed by an actual doctor; but a tribal chieftain or elder.

But hey, let's get as many of these people in this country as fast as we can.

They will acclimate to our Western ideals and cultural mores, dropping their antiquated mindset, and become just another facet of the American landscape in no time at all.

This. The small minded on this board think in absolutes. It is possible to not condemn an entire religion but to also condemn the horrific acts in the name of that religion.

The map, taken from a July 2013 UNICEF report, shows the percentage of girls and women ages 15-49 who have undergone female genital mutilation in 27 Central African countries and two Middle Eastern countries (Iraq and Yemen).

Seven of the top eight countries with very high rates of female circumcision are majority Muslim, including the "almost universal" levels in Somalia, Egypt, Guinea and Djibouti. But Eritrea, as Aslan said, is No. 5 among countries with high prevalence at 89 percent, and it is home to more Christians than Muslims, according to Pew Research’s Religion and Public Life Project.

Ethiopia, which is 63 percent Christian and 34 percent Muslim, has a moderately high rate of 74 percent, making it No. 11 on the list.

So the countries in which female genital cutting is a practice are mostly Muslim, but they are not exclusively Muslim. Of the 29 countries tracked by UNICEF, 14 are home to more Christians than Muslims.

No. Confessional (Westminster, Belgic, Heidelberg, London Baptist, etc.) Protestant churches state that the Bible is their sole authority for spiritual truth. "Sola Scriptura" was the primary rallying cry of the Protestant Reformation in response to Roman Catholicism that says that Scripture is not the sole source for truth in the faith but tradition and council decisions are on equal footing.

Very interesting statistics, however female genital mutilation is not commanded or even mentioned anywhere in the Bible or in Christian tradition. My assumption is that Christians in those countries have adopted the practice from their Muslim neighbors in an effort to seem more holy with their chastity. It's an error and should be condemned.

Now will he send in the Feds who genital mutilate little boys? If the law is equal he will.

This is accurate. I took a Middle Eastern Histry class in college and did a paper on female genital mutilation. Granted this was the 80's before Muslims were the darlings of the left; but the paper was praised to the heaven's and was even printed in a lesbian magazine.

Yep. That's my claim to fame.

TBH I use the term "magazine" loosely - considering the circulars had staples and the paper wasn't exactly glossy - LOL
