The govt covered for the cartel when they tortured and murdered a DEA agent. We should have invaded in the 80s.

The Kiki Camarena brutal torture/murder would have been a perfect excuse for the U.S. to go into Mexico and completely destroy it. Seriously, people need to read the stuff that was done to him

Few years back I may have had certain reservations on this. What do we have to lose? I mean homelessness as a result of drug addiction is taking over every major city nationwide basically.

I read an article this morning about a Utah family who went to Mexico to "vacation".......

unfortunately, only their son came back alive.

If you read enough you'll find out he sold out 2 informants and gave directions to another agent's house in Mexico. Great guy.

There's also a study published in February by the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank, which further rejects the idea that illegal immigration is tied to increases in rates of violent crime.

Cato Institute is nothing but a bunch of un-registered lobbyists and foreign agents shilling for whichever special interests rented their services this week. Absolute whores, who should be investigated for failing to register as lobbyists and foreign agents.

The research found that native-born residents were most likely to commit and be convicted of crimes, while unauthorized immigrants saw a conviction rate that was about 50% lower.

So they managed to disprove their idea and not realize it. Cato has become a joke.

Yep. And they think it's so cute and clever to say "unauthorized" instead of illegal. Pure propaganda.

Foreign cartels embrace home-grown marijuana in pot-legal states

quote:

Federal officials allege that legal recreational marijuana states like California, Colorado and Washington, where enforcement of growing regulations is hit-or-miss, have been providing cover for transnational criminal organizations willing to invest big money to buy or rent property to achieve even bigger returns.
Chinese, Cuban and Mexican drug rings have purchased or rented hundreds of homes and use human trafficking to bring inexperienced growers to the United States to tend them, federal and local officials say.

Looks more like capitalism than violence Is this where we draw the line at government oversight and restriction?

And newsflash, 85 years after prohibition organized crime is still moving illegal booze, cigarettes have never been illegal... yet organized crime is once again involved in their black market.

Even foreign criminals get taxation is theft That last line was almost purely joking.

Well start linking to their violence here, otherwise you'll just look like a caricature of reefer madness.

Honest people in Mexico can't defend themselves due to strict gun control. The highest caliber rifle you can buy is a 22 (see John Lott).

Absolutely , legalize them all . Our governments view is that if tomorrow heroin were legal ... we would all be out looking for a six pack of heroin and the syringes to go with it . Personally I won’t be doing heroin tomorrow legal or not ... however if you want to ... knock yourself out ... and if you overdose ... oh well ... see ya ... your dumbass just became a Darwin Award winner .
