Because all the old white people were dying off and their policies were out of touch and would only be a local party that never controls anything at the national level?

It swings back and forth, the way it was designed...Country is too big-diverse for one side to be right 100%, and people aren't as dumb as they seem...,

Seems like we hear this about one party or the other every 4 years or so. The pendulum swings back and forth.

I'm not ready to resurrect them yet.

They're still entirely too generous with other people's money.
I'll be ready for this conversation when I see: (a) a substantial reduction of the U.S. national debt/reduced government spending; (b) lower taxes; (c) a fix (or total opposition) to government meddling in healthcare/health insurance.
