No person nor a business should be allowed to attack a person with the purpose of bringing that person down.

There is a point at which you cross a line. It's libel. A published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation is libel.

I have seen it argued that a unchecked government results in dictatorships.

There is an argument to be made that an unchecked media can create a oppressive gov.

1- Libel.... No media should be allowed to print and say whatever they want at the expense of another human for any purpose.

2- No media should be allowed to create the style of gov they want because they deem it to be best.

As a side note, so long as the media tries to portray Trump as Hitler... I have no problem with him making them cry via his tweets. Personally, I think he should sue them.

The media has always thought of itself as the bible to politics, you know, if you have trouble with political questioning, come to us, we will set you straight.

Media is now promoting their "Smut Is Us" without any recourse. Sad.

the media is becoming the most hated organization in the nation.

Media cant run from what they have done and no longer care that the president goes after them. I hope the NYT loses in the Palin lawsuit and they go out of business.

I hope cnn goes out of business.

I hope msnbc goes out of business.

Dude; the biggest stories of Trump's presidency have been "triggered" by his own tweets.

-Obama wiretapped me
-Comey/tapes
-witch hunt
-Mika facelift
-I have the right to share whatever I want with Russia
-maybe our country needs a good shutdown

Quit being such a bunch of pussies. This is what you asked for. This is what you wanted. This is what you celebrate (when the wheels don't come off). Own it!

The Media has become one huge agenda driven propaganda machine.

The Media has no regard for the truth and no regard who it crushes on it's way to get it's agenda broadcast to the masses.

While I find Trump's tweets sometimes to be very comical and downright lowdown sometimes, they are most assuredly needed at this time in history.

I love 99% of Trump's tweets and his administration making the media absolutely miserable. They sooooo deserve it.

How did you feel about Fox and Trump's perpetuation of the "birther" narrative?

They knew it was a lie, but pushed ahead with it at every opportunity. Then, when caught in the lie, laid the blame for it at the liberals' doorstep, which was just another misrepresentation of the facts.

I know you think there is an equivalence in that and the calls for violence and personal attacks (like He is Hitler, deranged etc etc) but there isn't.

Ok. Let's talk about the rhetoric Levine used about Obama, or Alex Jones. The left does not have a monopoly on speech designed to bring the listener to frothy-mouthed violence. If you were honest with yourself, you'd see that CNN, though they report from particular perspective, is much less intent on inciting violence than were those talking heads on the right when Obama was in power.

What a load of shite.

What world do you live in???

Certainly not this one.

There has been far more violence in this country from the left in the 5 short months that Trump has been President compared to the violence from the right during the entire 8 year time that Obama was president

"the alleged Kenyan birth certificate Malik Obama tweeted is the same fraudulent document that had been offered for sale by eBay seller Lucas Smith and which the seller had displayed on YouTube." -WND

"WND (WorldNetDaily) is a politically conservative American news and opinion website and online news aggregator.[2][3] WND has drawn controversy for its promotion of conspiracy theories, including ones about Barack Obama's citizenship,[4][5][6][7] and is considered to be a far right fringe website.[8]"-wikipedia

Let's compare apples to apples. I'm referring to MSM.

Second... Even if we compared radio talking heads (that are NOT news channels) to that of the current environment, you would still lose that debate.

Did you really compare the original cable news network with prominant international reach and the darling of Turner Broadcasting System to two radio talking mouths?
