As stated in Politico…
quote:

Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has vowed to hold a vote to advance the package Wednesday, though it’s unclear if the legislation has the necessary 60 votes to clear the chamber.

So looks like Old Crow and Grandpa Munster are giving the senators two days to read it. Aside from it being the “worst, stupidest bill in modern Congressional history” according to Newt Gingrich, any bill allotted only two days for review, analysis, discussion, and debate should be automatically voted down.

Especially one with a $118B price tag with over half the money going to fund a losing war in a corrupt puppet state.

frick this bill and the coup deville it rode in on.

The lack of explanation and justification of the need for these bills and corresponding spending doesn’t even come up as an issue for our politicians. They really aren’t even questioned or held accountable to tell us exactly why the need for this. DC is a cesspool of political and media.

Unfortunately, we are so far beyond expectation, accountability and concern for whose money they are actually spending.

Congress people are extra smart. They can do it. Us regular people shouldn't concern ourselves with this stuff.

And almost zero legitimate scrutiny by the media on the substance of the bill or its necessity.

why do they have to encounter 5000 illegal migrants at the border before they shut down the border? how does that make sense?

shut it down period. if they can shut it down after encountering 5000, they can shut it down before that even happens.

Meanwhile, in the House...

quote:

"This bill is even worse than we expected," Johnson said in a statement

quote:

In a scathing new statement Sunday night, House Speaker Mike Johnson said the Senate bipartisan bill to overhaul the immigration system along with providing aid to Israel and Ukraine was dead on arrival if it makes it to the House.

Here's where Biden attempts to pull out a win. We're about to get months of reporting about "the border issue is the fault of House Republicans because they didn't pass the border bill" without the least reference to how it would actually legalize some level of illegal crossings as well as do nothing which cannot already be done (read: the money proposed will be diverted to things other than projects specifically aimed at keeping illegals out and/or returning them to their home countries).

The immediate retort without hesitation is, "The border can easily be shut down and enforced with existing law. We do not need new border law."

Why can't they work for a week on legislation without insisting on giving some entity outside of America billions of dollars. Every time these frickers get out of bed, they've got to spend more money. It's the only thing they want to do.

The bill should be enforce the laws on the books.

They created a problem to design a solution to circumvent the law.

We both know the majority of US media will carry Biden's water on this by completely avoiding that response.

You are right because the "Republicans" they interview on this subject will participate with the media to carry Biden's water.

They will never give Republicans like Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Matt Gaetz, etc. the air time to rebut the administration/media narrative.

So why is Turtle helping him? Seems obvious that greedy old fossil prefers Biden over Trump.
