You served in Vietnam. Wow, I didn't realize that you were an elderly man. That certainly explains some of your posts. Do you live in assisted living or full on nursing home?

No, but that isn't what you asked.
This is what you asked:

Did you go?
If you want better answers, ask better questions.

Now, now, dear. Don't get your BP up. Did you take your Metamucil?

Imagine if you got punished for causing an explosion on an aircraft carrier that killed 130 us servicemen even though your daddy was a 4 star admiral
You'd be mad too!
You'd be mad too!

Imagine trolling the same board for years on end and never growing tired of it.

here is something to google if you can bring yourself to question the official report:
quote:
McCain crashed 5 jets, plus was responsible for the Forrestal fire. Surviving crewmen and those who investigated the Forrestal fire case reported that McCain deliberately 'wet-started' his A-4E Skyhawk to shake up the guy in the F-4 Phantom behind his A-4. 'Wet-starts', done either deliberately (the starter motor switch allowed kerosene to pool in the engine and give a wet start) or accidentally, shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft. In McCain's case, the 'wet-start' 'cooked off' and launched the M34 Zuni rocket from the rear F-4 that punctured the Skyhawk's fueltank, knocked the M-65 1000 lb bomb off it's 500 lb rated mount, and touched off the explosions and massive fire. The F-4 pilot was reportedly killed in the conflagration, along with 167 of his fellow Forrestal shipmates (including those who died later from wounds suffered). 'Wet starting' was a common practice among young 'hot-dog' pilots. McCain was quickly (they were still counting the Forrestal dead) transferred to the USS Oriskany (the only Forrestal crewman to be immediately transferred). Description: XA4D-1 Skyhawk BuNo 137812 experiencing a wet start (note the pool of JP on the ground and the tongue of flame from the tailpipe).

quote:Why would that bit of fantasy writing cause me to question the official story? There were thousands of surviving witnesses that day. You think it'd be that easy to cook an investigation? He was never so much as pulled from duty, yet you think he was a suspect in one of the worst non-combat naval casualties in history?

All of his "wet starts" are done in the senate now

There are several facts about the story that are easy to verify and check out.
And yes, the government and military makeup cover stories every damn day and you know it. He was the first one pulled from the boat and it was only him.

That doesn't mean that bullshite is true in totality.

Not really a secret. I actually thought it was big of Obama not to bring it into the campaign.

But it does provide evidence it isn't completely false, too. Considering everything that happened, who was involved, what was done in the aftermath....you'd be crazy to take the official explanation at face value. Nobody lies as much as the US govt other than MSM.

Sure. That's how these things get traction. Sprinkle a little truth in with your bullshite, and suddenly you can talk with seriousness about lizard people and sea monsters.
