Maybe Syria was a trial run for North Korea

That's my hope anyway - plus it was strategically very logical in regards to "muh Russians" narrative and negotiations with China. I feel better about my spot on the Trump train after taking Bill Mitchell's advice and just "moving to another car" for a while.

If we attack NK, they'll inflict a lot of damage on SK and Japan on their way down. That's why we don't do it.

False. I'm headed to SK tomorrow. There is a minimal threat there. Our counter battery fire will stop all incoming after their first rounds are out of the tube.

I'd support strikes on NK if China supports us doing it - sounds like that is the case. Our intelligence must be somewhat scary. Just hope that China reimburses us.

This is my view. It was a message that needed to be sent. Not just to Assad but Russia, China, Iran, and NK.
It was also an appropriate response to what was an egregious attack on a civilian target with the worst kind of weapon. I have no particular interest in Assad being overthrown, but he needs to stop expanding the war.

You were off and on during the campaign and would bail when times got tough. Unlike yours truly here who never wavered and doesn't seem to get the credit I deserve for that.

It's not my plan it's the DoD's OPLAN for NK. It will not result in the death and destruction you believe. There are open source Rand studies that you can read.

Dumbest most un-informed statement I have ever read.
We still have never made a formal truce with them since the Korean War. We never signed a peace treaty since Armistice was agreed in 1953. This is why we still have close to 30k troops stationed near the DMZ.
