Republicans were really set up for this by the dems. The dems held the bill back until the final hour to finally drop it, forcing an immediate vote or a government shut down in a lame duck session. If we had an honest media, it would be called out for what it is, a hijacking of our legislative process by dems. No time for this stuff to go through committee and have compromises made to get real bipartisan support, no time for argument on the floor before a vote. Here's the bill, sign it now or the government shuts down and we blame you for it.

I've been working on this effort in my local area. It's beyond demoralizing how completely agnostic most people are towards these processes or who is running their government. The only people willing to even show up for primaries are old people who just like voting for incumbents, because they are familiar with them, but do not have the ability to dig deep into their voting records. Then you have young people who are completely checked out and are in a complete daze most of the time.

The existence of Republicans slows the progress of the Dem's transition to a totally communist state with one party and no more elections.
If Republicans did not exist today the fight in DC would be between 2 Dem factions...those who want to abolish capitalism today and those who are more moderate and want to wait until after Christmas.
Because of Republicans it's gonna take them a few years. I'll be dead. I won't care.

Because people like that want to see California go nationwide. They may or may not realize it but that's what will happen. If it happens don't say I didn't warn everyone. You cannot simply give full control to the dems and think you'll be able to rise from the ashes. The changes they will enact will see to it that it doesn't.
Like it or not, you have to circle the wagons after primary season.

I’ve seriously debated just voting Dem to speed up the collapse. The scary part about that is once they do have the control they crave, only armed conflict will wrest it from them, and we’ll lose.
Yep, I said it. Why will we lose? Because virtually the entire planet hates us. We’re the crab climbing out of the bucket and the rest will do anything to drag us down. We’re a victim of our success.
The foreign governments will unite with the Democrats to tear us down. They won’t understand that in our demise they perish, they truly think they can be masters of everything while making nothing.
