They can't help themselves, at any level. Just a couple of years ago they spent several hundred thousand dollars hiring an outside firm to "study" ways to improve the signage to help freshman find their classes more easily.

Would you be okay with me taking them aside and reminding them about your pronouns?” Follow up if necessary, but take your cues from the comfort level of your student. Your actions will be greatly appreciated.

Oh please, pretty please, let someone correct me in one of my classes. I would go out of my way to either reference the "misgendered" person by their chromosomal makeup, or insist that everyone refer to me as "your majesty."
