You let your kids watch The Bachelor?? So one man making out with multiple women on TV is ok for your kids to watch?
If your kid watches gay bachelor, he's gay. If your kid watches straight bachelor, he's gay.

Yes, it does no matter how much you pretend it doesn't and deny it.

And so what if it did?

Because homosexuality is not normal and not an equal alternative to heterosexuality and I've explained many times already why it isn't.

If you want to believe otherwise then that's your business but don't try to shove your nonsense into the impressionable minds of the young children of parents who know it isn't.

If you do then you'll get what you deserve.

Most ironic thing ever posted.

Off switches and actual parenting would solve your problem here.

Of all of the things on TV you choose the hypothetical gay bachelor to worry about

Pay no attention to all of the heterosexual promiscuity, violence, and drug use on TV. Hell Toddlers and Tiaras is pretty much both the sequel and the prequel to 16 and pregnant. There is a ton of stupid shite on TV. Why would you get extra bent out of shape about gay shite?

Homosexuality isn't even an alternative. It's a naturally inevitable sexuality in humans. That's irrelevant, however. The message that is actually sent by all this is that homosexuals are just as normal as you and me and that there is no reason to treat someone differently at all because of such an immaterial sexual preference.

Nobody is shoving anything in your kids' faces, you narcissist. There is an off switch. Use it once in a while and stop your bitching. Nobody cares that you're uncomfortable with gay people.

We all know the answer, and we all know that no one will admit the answer.

Kinda the same reason someone would get bent out of shape by something Phil Robertson said (not even on the show)...... Your same off button works in this case too

What an awful, doofus point. I have always supported Robertson's free speech rights as well as A&E's right to broadcast as they please. Not once did I call for any sanctioning of any kind to befall Robertson. I would never complain that DD "sends a bad message to our children" and call for it to be canceled. I'm not an equal opposite to the people in this thread who are jimmy-rustled about gays on tv turning their kids gay.

If I misinterpreted your point, I'm sorry, though I'm fine having made it clear that I am not in the group of "someone" you mentioned.

No, I called your point a doofus.

How did you reach that brilliant conclusion?

quote:

The message that is actually sent by all this is that homosexuals are just as normal as you and me

I don't know you so I don't know if you are "normal" or not but homosexuality is not normal. It is the exception to the norm which is heterosexually.

quote:

Nobody is shoving anything in your kids' faces, you narcissist. There is an off switch. Use it once in a while and stop your bitching.

How do you jump from me knowing that homosexuality is not normal to me being excessively in love with or admiring myself?

You don't get to tell me to shut up.

I have the first amendment right to freedom of expression even if it offends assholes like you.

Parents have the right to control what their young children see or hear in the home or elsewhere but parents are smart enough to know that even if they stop their young children from watching adult orientated TV programs at home their young children may find ways of watching them anyway.

quote:

Nobody cares that you're uncomfortable with gay people.

I wouldn't be living in San Francisco if I was uncomfortable with "gay" people.

I treat everyone as an individual and give them the same respect even if they are a homosexual.

That doesn't mean I have to accept other people's incorrect viewpoint that homosexuality is normal and an equal alternative to heterosexuality.

And so is this one. It isn't the rest of the world's job to give two shits about you or your kids. If you don't want your kids to see gay bachelor, then it's your job to make sure they don't see it--it isn't the rest of the world's job to make sure and not produce the show because you're uncomfortable with gays. It's amazing what lengths some of you will go to whine about nothing.

Irrelevant.

How do you jump from me knowing that homosexuality is not normal to me being excessively in love with or admiring myself?
I didn't, but given that the idea that anyone is shoving anything in your and your children's faces is absurd, you do demonstrate a dominant interest in yourself manifested in the insane idea that you and your children are in any way someone else's motive for putting something you find objectionable on tv. It's narcissistic for you to think and speak that way. You are mocked.

So be a better parent. The world will never be rid of things you find objectionable. Quit your whining. Be a man.

You should have just typed "I don't get it. I don't get it. I don't get it."
