I understand, but I also know it's a hell of a lot easier to do things when you have some sort of connections. I'd like to see him be a governor first, so he can understand what it's like to lead millions of people.

This is what kills me about presidential candidates and peoples perspectives. No one and I mean no one is seasoned enough or smart enough to both handle economic and foreign issues. Carson IMO is more than capable of handling domestic issues. It's frigging common sense. We spend more than we take in...cut spending, people are coming across the border.....put more people on the border.

Being president is no different than being a head football coach. You surround yourself with people you trust and who are knowledgeable in the areas you are not. You coach to your strengths and rely on others to cover your weaknesses.

Don't see any way that he wins the nomination, much less the general election.

Frankly, at this stage of the game, if forced to bet the smart money is on Hillary. I'm not promoting; I'm just suggesting the odds.

barrack Hussein Obama was a US senator for 8 months. Prior to that he was an Illinois state politician. What connections did he have outside of Chicago? Don't tell me he "forged" relationships as a senator......hell, he doesn't even talk to anyone in congress now!!!!

...and I think he's doing a pretty shitty job

Experience matters in everything. When you first started at your current job, were you anywhere near as good as you are now?

yes indeed. Way to take it out of context. But coming from you I'm not surprised. Btw, you can relate most everything in life back to football.

based on that premise only governors would be qualified to be president........which is not necessarily a bad thing. My only point is that NO ONE is truly qualified to be president, when you factor "everything" the job entails.

I hate that he is going to screw his life up by jumping into that snake pit. I guess he knows what he is doing.

Obama would have done a substantially better job had he'd been a governor first. His supporters did a disservice to him by electing him prior to being ready. But with Hillary as the other choice, they were forced into it.

I think rand is going to have the same failing.

He is just what we say Washington DC needs, a non politician, in it for the country, not for the bribes.

A pragmatic guy who will reach across the isle.

Any pol with a slick pre prepared answer ain't worth a shyt.

Correction... 4 years.

It's interesting that the same folks who said he was the least experienced man ever elected are now backing two senators, Paul or Cruz, with as little or less than Obama, and Carson, zero.

Carson's lack of experience won't be a detriment if he wins (and he won't), his inexperience will show in the campaign.

Think of the other great GOP hopes in the past who crashed and burned... Perry, that Senator/actor from Tenn, well every candidate last election save for Romney. The GOP polls looked like heart rate monitors....up and down.

I wonder if Carson sat in a church somewhere listening to a false prophet teaching 'hate whitey'?

he would be the first president to release them on his own in history.

But considering his views on evolution, it's probably best he keeps his writings sealed.

I don't think he'd win the nomination. However, I'd like to see him involved in the discussions and debates.

You are SO delusional. Your worship of this obama fool is almost cult-like.

You are one of the biggest partisan hacks I have seen on this site or any other message board.

I agree. I think he is angling for a VP spot or maybe a cabinet level post.
