Here is a real curve ball!

Former Sen. Joe Lieberman has emerged as the likely pick to replace recently fired FBI Director James Comey, Politico reported Thursday.

Trump met with four candidates for the top law enforcement job on Wednesday, including Lieberman, and reportedly bonded with the former Democratic vice presidential candidate, Politico reported citing a person familiar with the meeting.

Trump told one adviser that he is hoping to announce his FBI director pick before he departs Friday on a nine-day trip abroad – his first overseas excursion since taking office in January.

Probably bonded over being Democrats in the 90s. Dumb choice, really needed to go with a career law enforcement type.

Many on the left do not view lieberman as one of their own.

My guess is this is an attempt at being bipartisan, but not "really" being bipartisan.

The guy is too old, has no LEO experience (as far as I know), and worst of all he is BEST FRIENDS with John fricking McCain. I mean he is closer to McCain than Lindsay is.

No thanks.

Big resume, former AG of Connecticut, co-chaired the homeland security committee, and has a law degree from Yale. We love Joe.

Lieberman fits the Jeff Sessions "Civil Liberties are for pussies" mold, loves war and basically thinks the state should have unlimited surveillance powers.

Forget Dems between this and Sessions Trump has totally fricked over the online pro-Pot Libertarians like Josh and SirWinston

This is a poor choice. Quit trying to satisfy democrats and name someone who will not go back to their old habits as soon as they get some power.

Lieberman appointment helps with the attacks from McCain and Graham. The Specical Prosecutor eliminates the Democrats pounding Trump relentlessly until the midterms. Trump actually has a 2nd chance at having his legislative agenda moving forward. If only they could get out of their own way?

His window could be narrow at this point but at least he may have one.

What happened to them not picking anyone political? WTF experience does McCain and Grahams BFF have?

This is nuts...

The dems will say he has an I after his name. Barney Fife or Elmer Fudd would be better picks.
