I don’t get them - how in the world can someone care about infant mortality rates being too high but also obsessed with being pro-abortion?

Their claimed that expanding Medicaid would fix this. It was a huge criticism of the state during the Jindal era and they used it as a problem that expanded Medicaid could solve.

The reason the infant mortality is because there are too many people (mostly fat and unhealthy) that have no business having kids. It's a numbers game.
