Let's take a look at how these "Leaks" are sensationalized

When the leak first happened these were the headlines and they were everywhere:
Trump threatens to send troops to Mexico to stop ‘bad hombres’ in phone call with Mexican president
President Trump Warns Mexico He Might Send U.S. Troops to Take Care of 'Bad Hombres'
REPORT: Trump Threatens To Send Troops Into Mexico
Then we had some people with sense actually check the story out but these weren't as widely circulated:
Mexico denies report that Trump threatened to send in troops to stop 'bad hombres'
Mexican government says Trump never threatened to send troops to Mexico
And finally when interviewed by O’Reilly Trump himself said:
It's very hard to find many stories about him saying this or anyone correcting their records saying Trump didn't threaten to Mexico.
So somewhere along the line the media or someone turned an offer of help that would benefit both countries into Trump threatening to invade Mexico.
Yet, we have posters here that share every "leak" as gospel and factual then get pissed when these "leaks" are dismissed and not give much thought to. The newest one that says Bannon is pulling the strings as puppet master is the most laughable one yet and we still have/had some here pushing it.

quote:
“We have to do something about the cartels,” Trump said Monday while discussing the relationship with Mexico on Fox News’s “The O’Reilly Factor."
"I did talk to [Nieto] about it. I want to help him with it. I think he’s a very good man. We have a very good relationship, as you probably know.”
“We’ve got to stop the drugs from coming into our country. And if he can’t handle it – maybe they can and maybe they can’t or maybe he needs help – he seemed very willing to get help from us because he has got a problem and it’s a real problem for us.”

This is also Trump making a direct threat to the CIA again. It appears he is serious about the cleanup.

This morning there are headlines on Reddit that say "The White House is distraught over SNL's Spicer sketch"
They all claim Trump is pissed that a woman could play Spicer so well. It's amazing that people buy into this shite.

It is confirmation bias.
They want it to be the case and they take the word of anonymous sources as fact with no evidence.
