'Let these countries take care of themselves'

That's been the battlecry of the majority of this board for years.
ISIS rises up? Let the Middle East take care of it themselves.
Russia invades Georgia? Let the Georgians defend their own country.
Russia invades Ukraine? Let the Ukrainians defend themselves, even though we promised to defend their sovereignty in exchange for them giving up nukes.
Europe wants help? frick off. They don't pay their fair share. Let Europe take care of itself. frick that NATO shite.
South Korea? Let's leave them as well.
Now, Obama tells Israel to take care of themselves and you want him drawn and quartered. To top that off, your Great Isolationist Hope is knighting for Bibi.
Where's the consistency?
What has Israel given the US over the years? Why should the US spend so much time defending them when we should not defend South Korea, Europe, or the rest of the Middle East?

I would be for that. But that's not what's happening here. I think Israel would have scorched Earth in that part of the world if left to their own.
