It is important for the Israelis that the Arabs (Sunnis and Shia) continue to have conflicts and view each other as enemies. It goes along with the father of Zionism, Theodore Herzi's dream of "Greater Israel". That dream is still alive today with many in the ruling Likud Party in Israel.

Jared will not bring peace between the Palestinians and the Zionists.

Israel must be the worst ethnic cleansers in history. They control less territory than they've won in the past (gave the Sinai back to Egypt among other territories) and have allowed the Palestinians to increase in population many times over compared to when this started. Greater Israel is a fantasy mostly shared by a few old Orthodox Jews with zero power and a host of neo-Nazis on Stormfront. It is not now, nor has it ever, been considered a workable or desired end goal for the Nation of Israel.
