Maybe this is more for OT but since it involves a Head of State I thought it should go here.

Didn't Al Gore also fly planes during Katrina? Vague recollection.

CNN reports...

So he likes to contribute to global warming, just like Al Gore.

No. He arranged for some relief goods to be flown in (and was on board with them), but nothing I've ever read said he did the actual flying.

Damn I wish our head of state was that cool. Trump probably can't even pilot an RC plane.

He can always fly the royal family to safety. Good planning.

Being one of the monarchs in Europe now seems like a pretty sweet gig. No real responsibilities, get your arse kissed constantly, still super rich and chicks dig noble titles.

What a nasty, sexist comment! Here's a picture of queen Maxima. A very attractive woman, fluent in several languages, and a businesswoman in her civilian life in her native Argentina.

Dude aside from the British royals, most people the world over couldn't spot members of most royal families walking down the street. They vacation and go to school all over the US under different variations of their names without anyone (save the State Department and their diplomatic missions) being the wiser.

Obviously he's too old and in no physical condition to do that now, but I believe his brother (the one who died of alcoholism) was a pilot. Don't think he was ever military, though.

I once got drunk with the Prince of Denmark. No joke, we were both young and he was on a student trip and I was his age. Really nice guy.
