Trump won that district by 27 points. If the dems win.... it's all on the GOP for not getting things done

Very doubtful Dems win this, but the real question will be, does a much closer then expected election, even after pouring tons of money into it, change the GOP's behavior?
Should it?
Should the GOP just chalk it up as a fluke? A problem brought on by local politics of a horrendously unpopular governor?
Or should it be cause for concern? Maybe require hesitation to anchor to Trump?

In my opinion, it absolutely should. I've agreed with a lot of things Trump has done and have disagreed with some things he has done as of this point, but the GOP overall, especially Congress, has been abysmal so far.

They sure got tired of winning fast.

Not tired, but you will always be the poster dork for losing...you even made a neat AVI to back it up.

You are so right. They don't want to win. I believe they hate leading and governing.

Bitching about Obama's every move is WAY easier than actually running the country. This whole "being accountable" is bull shite to these guys.

Boy this is going to be a LOT closer than people anticipated. 199 precincts still out in Sedgewick. Some of the other counties already have 100% reporting.

You may be right about some of the assholes who end up in congress but that is not true of the people who vote for them.
The dems have a fundamental advantage. The very best leading lights of liberalism run for office because they love government. Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, LIawatha, Patti Murray, Hank Johnson, Schumer, Durbim are all the smartest liberals out there, much smarter than anybody on this board.
On the other hand, the Republicans who run are mostly conservatives stupid enough to actually want to be in government or liberals faking it to win in conservative districts.

I would be absolutely shocked. This and GA 6th I regard as pretty big longshots while the MT-AL is probably a toss up or lean Dem.

Does Kansas even have that many Ds?
Posted on 4/11/17 at 8:41 pm to Jjdoc
Dems come close, but they won't win it.

You seem to be under some false impression that there is conformity in the GOP

With 47% in Estes has pulled to .3%. With Wichita pretty much all counted, I don't see the Dems getting a large enough percentage the rest of the way.
