Just stopped in Baton Rouge

I hate the traffic through here and usually never stop because of it. However, when I do stop it is to eat at TJ's Ribs. Even though you are inundated with LSU propaganda, it is some of the best food along the I-10 SEC corridor.

People here love to hate on it, but TJs makes a damn fine rack of baby back ribs in my book.

I like TJ's as much as anybody, but damn man, there are many other better options to eat in Louisiana while passing through.

Why doesn't Baton Rouge have a bypass loop? Traffic is always terrible.

I'm in baton rouge this weekend also. Just ate at L'Auberge where the food sucks. Did have a ten minute conversation with skip bertman that was fun.

TJ Ribs is mediocre as mediocre comes. So many better places in BR to stop. Also, wrong board.

It's a guarantee that anytime someone indicates that he/she/they likes a certain restaurant, there will numerous individuals who absolutely must prove something by posting on here what a crappy place that restaurant is. Ignore them. I also think that TJ Ribs has excellent baby back ribs.

It is not even smoked ribs. Baked ribs are terrible.

There are simply half a dozen places in town with better ribs. Might I recommend "Smokin' Aces" not two miles away on Government Street, Deep South BBQ off of I-110, hell, even Zea's has better baby back ribs.
TJ's beef ribs are pretty damn solid, though.
