I'm excited to see business growth and success, economic recovery. That trend, however, began with Bush and Obama's application of Keynesian strategies to kick-start the recovery.
Bush gets less credit on that in my opinion, as his misguided forays into the middle East were major catalysts for the recession in the first place. Nod to Bush and Clinton, as well, for pushing easy money mortgages on the undeserving, also contributing to the recession.
So, both Obama and, now, Trump can be credited with the economic growth we are seeing.
One major flaw to me is that Trump appears willing to sacrifice the health and well being of future generations in order to appear successful now. The relaxation of coal dumping regulations, his administration's position in meet neutrality, his AG's love affair with the for profit prison system, and his general attitude towards environmental concerns are all evidence of said sacrifice.
I don't like the guy. I've made that plain, but I can see him being a good president of he'd remove himself from the "win at all costs" mentality. Winning at the geopolitical level requires a cooler head and well developed strategies.
