Tarver was always EWE's right hand man in North La. Two peas in a pod. Norton is obviously the worst of the 2. But La. still loses if he wins.

My guess is that she got term limited out of the House and figured she could run against Tarver for Senate.
Given that Tarver has his own set of issues, it’s not as stupid as it would seem on the face of it. Tarver was charged alongside EWE in the early 2000s but wasn’t found guilty.
