Having worked in a hospital for a long time, I don't understand the hospital's actions here, provided they have no legal liability. Since the family is forcing the issue, I assume they would not sue the hospital if the treatment didn't work

quote:

A Manhattan judge says she won’t force a hospital to give an ailing post-COVID-19 patient the controversial drug ivermectin after the man’s wife sued for the non-FDA-approved treatment, according to a new ruling.

Erika Quintero-Sherry brought a civil case against Mount Sinai Hospital on Jan. 26 seeking an emergency order to have the drug given to husband Benjamin Chernyavsky — who’s been “on death’s doorstep” after contracting the virus last month.

Following two days of hearings in the case last week, including testimony from two Mount Sinai doctors, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Lynn Kotler said she wouldn’t grant the emergency request to force the hospital’s staff to administer the risky drug based on Quintero-Sherry’s “paltry” evidence and going against Chernyavsky’s treating doctor’s recommendations, as well as the recommendations from the medical community at large.

It would be hard for me not to resort to violence in this situation.

It's only controversial due to misinformation.

In no way is it risky.

Amazing gaslighting.

She asked, they denied. Get it somewhere else and administer it herself.

If docs won't administer the meds, find another one who will. I don't want the government forcing doctors to do things against their will. That's a very slippery slope.

How does the use of Ivermectin not fall under Right to Try legislation? It’s been thru Phase 1 safety studies and is being investigated as a treatment for Covid-19. It baffles me that hospitals won’t administer it at pt/pt family request.

By the way, the NIH itself is funding a study looking at ivermectin in Covid-19. They’re still recruiting ppl into it. Weil Cornell is the site in NYC. LINK

Why ask if it can be given? Just give it yourself.
