I have a suspicion that the dregs of society weren't ever taking free birth control anyway.

I'm more than happy with my tax dollars going to making sure these idiots (as we agree) having free birth control so they don't pop out more kids that will be drains on society. People who are anti-birth control (save for abortion) just really aren't thinking it through on the net cost to society.

Unfortunately patients in general are awful about taking their medication. But let's say we're spared 1,000 babies due to these birth control pills. I'm willing to bet that that saves us 100 million dollars in taxpayers money. Birth control pills are cheap compared to the cost after the unwanted child goes and murders someone.

That's why in "the old days" becoming a single mother was discouraged and any woman who was a single mother was shamed.
Now becoming a single mother is encouraged and any woman who is a single mother is praised for being independent and look what we've got now.

I think you're misunderstanding me. I'm saying that these people who we don't want procreating aren't the ones taking BC anyway so we're giving BC money to people who can already afford it. Besides, condoms are supplied fr free at every health clinic in the country.
