that is John Parker Wilson. Met him at a funeral one time I am distant cousin to the surving spouse and he and his brother were cousin to the deceased. Both were douches.

I believe that would be judge John Parker who either preceded or followed Judge Gordon West in screwing up, err overseeing the EBR desegregation case

Few people in this state, much less in EBR, have been more wrongly maligned.

Fact is EBR had like 20 years to prepare for a desegregation order, but was still actually building schools that were basically designated to be segregated as late as the early 70s.

But, hey, I guess some people need a scapegoat.

RIP

BS...This one man destroyed what was a nice city and it's schools to satisfy the far left agenda. Many of BR's problems of today can be placed on his tombstone as far as I'm concerned! The adverse affects of children being bussed right past their local school in the dark to play the numbers game to satisfy the NAACP was a total failure IMO! Ascension and Livingston Parish certainly benefited from his stupidity.

desegregation

Parker forced integration, which is different, and which served to completely frick over EVERY race with kids in the EBR school system.

Building a neighborhood school to service a predominately white (or black) area is not segregation.

Having laws/policies that specifically PROHIBIT whites and blacks being in school together is segregation. BR was not doing that in early 1980, when Parker fricked everything up.

frick him. May be burn in Hell.
