The democrat and never Trumpers would be screaming to the hills for him to retire he can't think straight if he voted with his party.

Fortunately for him, I'm sure the Trumpers here and elsewhere will take the higher road.

Don't support his decision, but do understand his rationale.

I like people who didn't get captured.

He's lost his mind. He thinks we can get bi-partisan support for anything good? No way. He wants a death sentence to any GOP-based reform and we'll be stuck with the garbage the Democrats (without bi-partisan support) shoved down our throats.

His "rationale" is to spite Trump even over voting for his buds bill. Some could fairly argue that he has no "rationale" remaining as few would suffering with brain cancer.

According to BamaAtl, that's exactly what would happen. Like 30 million would drop dead. Instantly.

I think that is McCain's entire point.

I mean the only thing the left will accept as bi-partisan is capitulation. They don't have to accept anything else.
The only choice for Rs to win is to expand and pump more money at Obamacare. The Ds fully understand this and it's exactly why they did what they did how they did it.
You could see this from miles away.
ETA: It was a brilliant move. Force through handouts knowing that they can never be taken away because of the dead bodies piling up on the street narrative and you don't care about poor people narrative. The middle class just takes in the arse again.

His point is to trash a trash bill. Good job Senator McCain. I hope others follow your courageous lead.

This idiot actually thinks that the Democrats will work in a bi partisan manner that would unfrick all the shite Obamacare did to our healthcare system. That is almost laughable. The Dems rammed it down our throats and smiled while doing it. It absolutely destroyed my benefits and almost tripled my out of pocket. frick the establishment and frick all the piece of shits the Democrats have living off of entitlement programs.

It's complete bullshite because he knows full well that democrats want to bolster and strengthen ObamaCare and bailout the insurance markets completely or replace it with single payer altogether and that's not something conservatives will ever support.
McCain may be a pos but he's not a blind moron and it's because of that you as a McCain sympathizer really should question why he still continues to kill ObamaCare repeal efforts when conservatives hold the majority.

I doubt that.
I don't.
We're talking about a man who talked about repealing Obamacare for seven years. When a straight-up repeal of Obamacare came up to a vote in 2015, he voted in favor of it. When the exact same bill came up for a vote in 2017, he voted against it. What changed? Nothing. He just wanted to screw over President Trump.

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz seem to have gotten over what Trump said about them during the campaign. Maybe McCain should be an adult and do the same?
Posted on 9/22/17 at 3:40 pm to cajunangelle
A bipartisan approach means nothing more than keeping or expanding Obamacare. Not one single Democrats will support anything less. frick McCain

Is he in Congress to serve the people of Arizona and that includes his promise of killing ObamaCare he made to them or settling petty scores with someone else even if it means reneging on that signature campaign promise?
That mindset is why approval ratings for Congress in the single digits dude and we have goobers like you advocating that mindset.

Rand and Ted are actually conservatives though and has a lot in common with Trump's agenda.
McCain is a RINO and hates the Trump agenda.

Ignorance is claiming Obamacare destroyed your benefits, then blame it on Democrats living off entitlements.

You should be watching the Ken Burns documentary on Viet Nam. You'd be embarrassed to criticize anyone who served in that hellhole.
