LINK

Highlights

1) Says there is no evidence Russia altered the election

2) Didn't vote for Hillary in primary

3) Says Obama fell far short of his promises, especially in the Middle East, which especially made Carter disappointed

4) Says the media is being unreasonable to trump, says he has never seen a media go harder on a politician. Says it is unprofessional that the media brings up possible dementia

5) He thinks players should stand for anthem, and find more appropriate ways to protest

Carter was not a moderate democrat in office. The fact that he appears so reasonable and tame in this interview with NYT shows how far they have lurched leftwards

It’s also possible he’s gotten more moderate.

Amazing that he has made such a change. He was once considered a far leftist.

Nice to see he's using his mind finally.

As left as he is, he's still more moderate than today's current democrat party.

He was also big on deregulation (which is normally associated with the Gipper).

The Mayor of L.A. is being touted as a Dem candidate for Prez. He denies it which means he's gonna run. He also defended Diane Feinstein who is being attacked by the left for being too moderate. He said 'She is no moderate.' IE, 'she is a committed leftist like me.'

Carter is a liberal to normal people. He's a moderate to the current crop of Dems.

Duh. That won't stop Never Trumpers and liberals getting as much as hay as they can to use to stop Trump from implementing the agenda.

No shite.

Obama had the prefect opportunity to be the post racial President that brought people together and he only turned out to be a race baiting piece of shite that huddled together regularly with Jesse and Al and then carried on Bush's warmongering legacy in the mideast while somehow looking like the biggest weakling ever to serve as president.

Pretty telling how you will never see a single member of the Bush family say anything like that about Trump even when they're more conservative than Jimmy Carter is.

The Democratic Party has left people like Carter behind. They no longer appeal to real liberals, but to the more fringe progressives.

Not really, he is just much smarter than the rabble they follow these days. Carter was/is a statesman. Today's democrats were pink cowboy hat and say "Tim Tevo, jive and Go GATA" on the Senate floor.

I wasn't alive when Carter was in office so I missed a lot of the policies he enacted/supported, but I'm willing to bet he was more of a moderate than Obama and the Democrat politicians we have in office right now.

That's what I keep telling you people. The left has pulled hard to the left over the recent years that where lefties of 40 years ago aren't today's lefties anymore. That says a lot about leftism today.

Yet the right gets accused by those leftists that we are trying to pull the country too far to the right.

Hey Dems, when Jimmy Carter deserts you - it's time for a political intervention of your party my friends.

No need to tell me. i know. I lived through it. He was horrible and even Carter felt meek and bad about it.

It's refreshing to see him come to his senses.

Carter is a 1970s Democrat which compared to today's left-wingers looks like Rush Limbaugh

Carter is a classy guy. I don't agree with him politically but he has a good heart. He isn't the type that despises America like most progs today

They lurched farther left as the GOP went further right. Moderate republicans like me and my friends feel about like Carter does.
