Good for him. To me, that statement proves that the bill is a complicated, unnecessary, bloated big government pile of steaming dog shite.

Obamacare has been around for 7. That means Ryan has been building his version of the ACA before that… the "we agree that the Federal Government and insurance should be the major players in health care, but we can run it better if we do it our way."

frick Paul Ryan and his bill.

And, frick Trump if he doesn't wise up. He's doing this the establishment way, and needs to change course.

I love the irony that ryan tried and failed to sabotage trump for personal gain, and now he's the one being sabotaged (not by trump though) and he's going to be thrown under the bus and become the scapegoat

All of these hacks have lost sight of what insurance actually is. It is supposed to insure you in the case of a medical disaster or unforeseen emergency. Instead we've made it the be all end all way of paying for healthcare. Needing some antibiotics for a sore throat and needing a triple bypass are not equivalent and we are forced to use insurance for both. It's the equivalent of having to file an insurance claim every time you got the oil in your car changed, the same as if you were involved in an accident. So until we start insuring what should actually be insured and not everything from birth control to stitches, prices are never going to come down.

And This. He's stabbing his base of support in the back in favor of those who wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire.

scape·goat
noun

1.
a person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency.

Ryan is no scapegoat. He is a panderer that specializes in increasing his own power and influence at the expense of others. If he is ruined, he will get exactly what he deserves.

Wishful thinking, but I'd like to believe Trump went along with this knowing it would fail. No proof of course, but if you are dealing with the likes of establishment repubs and you know they won't agree to go along with your plans, I think you help push this out there knowing it's gonna blow up in their faces. I only say that because for all the "negotiator" talk, I've yet to witness it in regards to this bill. It's been basically take it or leave it. Kind of odd there would be so little negotiating on a key piece of legislation. So maybe we are all missing the mark here. We see it as Trump vs conservative repubs, but the real battle is and always will be trump vs the establishment. Who the hell really knows though.

I am beginning to wonder if the republicans really want control. I think they would rather be in the good ole boy minority party keeping their jobs after every election.

I don't think anyone thought Trump had a brilliant idea with regards to Healthcare. Most people just assume that people can put their heads together and come up with something, anything, better than Obamacare which is a universally agreed upon failure.

He got elected for other reasons.

It's become painfully obvious the past 2 months that Trump don't know shite from shinola about bills, government, healthcare or even American history.
